Landscape Appraisal

epd evaluated key factors such as:
  • Relevant Policies
  • Landscape designations
  • Public access
  • Landscape character area
  • Listed Buildings

epd analysed these landscape designations to understand the legal protections and the landscape's sensitivity to change. Our assessment also includes evaluating the landscape's character, value and sensitivity, along with identifying historical and cultural heritage features, to determine the overall impact of proposed development.
Viewpoints

We assessed viewpoints to conduct Landscape and Visual Appraisal (LVA) by selecting strategic locations from which the landscape and proposed development could potentially be observed and analysed. These viewpoints help us assess the visual impact from different perspectives, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of how the development will affect the landscape of the study area's appearance and character.
